The General Secretary of NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia popularly referred to as General Mosquito has finally explained the rationale behind his infamous statement made some years ago… “Any idiot can go to court”.
Asiedu Nketia first made that statement after the 2012 general elections.
This was when the then opposition, NPP took a decision to contest the presidential election results at the Supreme Court.
The infamous statement has resurfaced following the just-ended 2020 general elections where NDC has decided to disagree with the results by the EC.
Asiedu Nketia’s own words have been used to troll him and his party on social media.
Respected stakeholders and institutions urged the party to resort to judicial process for redress.
In this new development, he has explained to the public what pushed him to say “any idiot can go to court” years ago.
According to Asiedu Nketia, he said any idiot can take you to court but the judges are the ones that determine whether the case is sensible or not.
Asiedu Nketia said that is the process we have in Ghana.
He made these claims at Joy FM and added that our law indicates that any idiot can go to court.
General Mosquito fired his critics saying that if he says “any idiot”, it does not mean those who go to court are idiots.
He indicated that anyone who doesn’t understand his statement has problem with logic or English.
