PANKO Youth Center mission is to provide opportunities for less privileged youth to learn skills necessary to develop their full potentials. Job Description

The ICT Officer will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of PANKO’s ICT center and its related interventions, reporting to and liaising with the Programs Coordinator to meet the needs of the ICT interventions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Firstly, Organising and offering ICT trainings to children and youth.
  • Secondly, Installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware and software faults.
  • Thirdly, Solving ICT related technical and application problems.

The UNIC Accra is part of the global network of United Nations information centres, which are the principal source of information about the United Nations system in Ghana and Sierra Leone. The incumbent is under the direct supervision of the National Information Officer and the overall supervision of the Chief of the Programme Support Section (PSS).

Responsibilities

Within delegated authority, the incumbent is responsible for the following duties:

  • Manages, updates and further develops internal databases; updates web sites and social media accounts, to include drafting and editing content; assists in design, development and maintenance of Internet applications; generates a variety of standard and non-standard statistical and other reports from various databases.
  • Researches, compiles and presents basic information for use in the preparation and production of communications products/services.
