Movie Producer and CEO of Miracle Films, Evangelist Samuel Nyamkye, has categorically stated that filmmakers have no hand in the sadden fall of Kumawood actor, Kofi Adu also referred to as Agya Koo.
Not long ago, allegations from the management of Agya Koo suggested that his irrelevance in the local movie industry was plotted and caused by producers and movie directors of Kumawood. He explained that movie producers and directors held a meeting which led to his unfortunate downfall.
However, Evangelist Samuel Nyamekye has declared the allegation directed at them as null and void. He made this revelation during an interview at Kumasi based radio, Angel FM. According to him, all Kumawood movie producers and directors had a meeting to discuss how to work effectively in the absence of Agya Koo. They had this meeting because the actor became the people’s favorite and for that reason preferred buying movies he was featured on. Mr SamuelNyamekye furthered that as Agya Koo was the anchor of the movie industry, his unavailability meant no work and no progress. For this reason, filmmakers thought it wise to continue to work even in his absence.
The CEO of Mircle Films Production added that, Agya Koo was so popular that he had to traveled outside the country to shoot movies. This mostly caused movie production to halt until his return hence the decision. He also emphasized that the decision to work without Agya Koo was not a plot to set him aside but it was an initiative to keep the movie industry running even in the absence of the popular and most loved comic actor.
For some time now, Agya Koo has not been on our TV screens as he used to be. This has triggered many uestions from fans and supporters as they appear to have missed him.
