Reigning VGMA artist of the year, Eugene Kwame Marfo, widely recognized as Kwami Eugene has recounted how his biological father in the past, lost hope and vowed never to waste a penny on him.
The Lynx entertainment signee talked about his past experiences with Stacy on her restoration show.
According to Kwami Eugene, he was so stubborn that his father got fed up and gave up on him.
The singer outlined that, his father stopped taking care of him when he was in JHS because to him, Kwami did not look like the type of child who would be resourceful.
He categorically stated that, he was doing the direct opposite of what his dad expected him to do therefore he(his father) vowed not to waste any more money on the hiplife and afro beat star.
Notwithstanding, his strong and caring mother continued to hustle to support her son. The self-acclaimed Rock star revealed that his mother had to depend on four jobs in order to make ends meet.
He gave an instance where his mother had to borrow as much as GH¢1000 to help him write his final exams.
Meanwhile, his dad was busy taking care of Kwami Eugene’s other siblings.
Amidst all the difficulties, the young talent put in a lot of hard work and perseverance to be able to get to where he is now.
Although he totally understands the actions of his father, his love for his hustling mother is overwhelming and inexpressible.
He holds his mother in high esteem but the same cannot be said of his father. “She means so much to me.
I owe her who I am today”, Kwami Eugene poured his heart out. Anyway, his father appears to be proud of his success in the music industry so far.
