Award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Micheal Owusu Addopopularly known as Sarkodie has made it known to the public why Shatta Wale did not show up at the just ended Rapperholic concert.

On Friday 25 December 2020, Sarkodie organized his eighthRapperholic concert despite the coronavirus pandemic. The event saw the likes of Kweku Flick, Sista Afia, Joey B, King Promise and others perform.

However, one of Ghana’s finest dancehall acts, Shatta Wale born Charles Nii Armah was absent at the show. His absence at the concert shocked many patrons, pundits in the industry and even fans of the artist. Well, Sarkodie has given the real reason behind Shatta Wale’s non-appearance at the Rapperholic concert. According to Sarkodie’s post on Twitter, Shatta Wale insisted on taking at least $250,000 to appear on stage. The BET award winner refused to pay the CEO of Shatta Movement hence his absence at the show. Sarkodie made this revelation in response to a tweet shared by ShattaWale. “Abi you miss; congrats last night Rapperholic”, ShattaWale said.

The Rapperholic concert turned out very successful. The concert was held at the Grand Arena, Accra international Conference Centre. Sarknatives from near and afar trouped to the venue to experience another history moment.
