Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson has asked the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to stop using her for their sweet campaign headlines.
She cautioned that the political party refrain from using her recent statement about Mahama ending Dumsor for their campaign.
Yvonne Nelson further stated that she has never campaigned for any political side since she was born so they should stop using her on their platforms.
Recall that Yvonne Nelson embarked on a Dumsor Vigil during the days where Dumsor became a household problem.
The actress, not long after her Vigil, Dumsor days, Dumsor became a thing of the past to the average Ghanaian.
The actress also once made a statement saying ex-President Mahama did solve the Dumsor problem during those times.
This statement by the actress is one which has been on the lips of the people of NDC in their campaign almost everywhere they go.
Yvonne Nelson, upon noticing this developments for a while now, has decided to caution them on their actions.
She believes using her statement for their headlines makes people think she is affiliated which is false.
To her, look like she has endorsed or campaigned for the party.
She stated emphatically that the NDC political party should stop misquoting her.
“NDC, listen, stop using me for your sweet headlines. I haven’t campaigned for any political party since I was born. My tweet about solving Dumsor was exactly what happened when I held my vigil. Dumsor ended two weeks after the vigil. STOP misquoting me” Yvonne Nelson posted in a tweet sighted by Newsatgh.
